Through trail stewardship\, conservation efforts\, and partnerships\, the Cumberland Gap Trail Alliance works to help preserve these forests while promoting responsible recreation and environmental education that connects people to the region’s incredible natural resources. \nTo celebrate this important day\, we invite you to get outside and experience these forests with us! 🌿 \nJoin Us for a Public Hike at Natural Tunnel State Park! \n\n\n\nThe Cumberland Gap Trail Alliance will be hosting a public hike on Saturday\, March 21\, 2026 at 10 AM\, and we’d love for you to come explore one of the most scenic overlooks in the park with us!\n\n\nHike: Purchase Ridge Overlook via Lover’s Leap & Purchase Ridge Trail• Distance: 4.1 miles (out & back)• Elevation Gain: 830 ft\n\n\nThis unique hike takes you from the bottom of the park up to stunning overlooks of the massive natural tunnel and dramatic cliffs that make this area so special.
